How do I increase traffic to my website?

One of the main objectives of any business page – small, medium or large – is to get ‘liked’. Once your page is liked, if you keep providing quality content (like we suggest here), then people will come back to the page and listen to what you have to say. Your brand value will go up and you will be able to start offering deals, coupons and sales to your fans, generating more business for you.

But how do we get people to like the page? How do we convince them right off the bat that they should start getting updates from this page in their Facebook feed?

I’ve seen any number of ‘Welcome’ tabs that do every thing from hint at good content should you just like the page to the not very subtle approach of Red Bull to ‘like’ their page. So the ‘Welcome’ page is just there as a filler – all to get your potential fans to click ‘like’.

But what if it wasn’t? What if the very first time that people come to your Facebook Page they see your entire site? What better way to introduce yourself and your services? When they like what they see on the website, the chances of getting your Page ‘liked’ as well go up enormously!

Try it and see – Go to your Page settings (click the ‘Edit Page’ button in the top right corner), and in the ‘Manage Permissions’ section, choose the ‘My Website’ tab from the drop down menu. Of course, if you’ve changed the tab’s name, choose that.

And there you have it! When new people visit your Facebook Page, first thing they will se is your website. And what better way to show potential customers why they should come back again and again?
